General Meaning: Turning point
Sometimes, dreams can be very frustrating. When dreaming of a cliff, the actions of getting there are just as important as what will happen next. Cliffs are finite. There is only one way down, and jumping off into the unknown might what follows. Or, the dreamer could turn around and go back the same (safe) way they got to the cliff. There is, indeed a decision to be made, and a turning point is at hand.
