General Meaning: Innocence
In general, dreaming of children, or dreaming of a child reminds us to hold on to our innocence. For it is still within us: our dreams of youth, dreams of former times when we would play with neighbor kids. The dream is suggesting a need to have little fun added back into our lives. Or, perhaps life is overwhelming, and we yearn for the days of our youth. We have too many responsibilities in our day-to-day life and need to find a balance. For many, dreaming of being young again and seeing themselves in the house where they grew up, or the park where they would play during summer are reminders that we don’t have to be so serious all the time.
